what? The largest prime number IN THE WORLD!!!! The largest prime number in the world has 7,816,230 digits!!! If you could write 10 digits per sec (that would be pretty darn fast!!!) if would take you about 9 days to write out the whole number with no stop! I dont know about you but that seems like a pretty big number. A computer found this number and the computer belongs to the GIMPS (Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search) People all over the world spend there time to find these prime numbers.
